Events and Fests

The Department of Civil Engineering actively nurtures a culture of professional growth, research orientation, and technical excellence through its student chapters and professional society associations such as ACI, ICI, IGS, ISTE, and IEEE-GRSS. These chapters provide dynamic platforms for students to gain professional exposure, develop multidisciplinary skills, and stay aligned with emerging advancements in civil engineering and allied domains.

Through these chapters, the department regularly organizes a wide range of activities including guest lectures, webinars, workshops, technical fests, project expos, FDPs, symposiums, industrial visits, field visits, and software training programs. The chapters also coordinate major technical events such as VARADHI Technical Fest, Technovista (Engineers’ Day), Project Expo (2K23, 2K24, 2K25), and technical symposiums, along with industrial and field visits to organizations such as NCCBM, NOVOCO RMC Plant, Mega Concrete RMC Plant, T-Hub Hyderabad, Telangana State Engineering Research Laboratories (TSERL), National Academy of Construction (NAC), road construction sites, and hydro-electric projects. These professional society activities consistently witness strong student participation, typically ranging from 40 to 200 participants per event, demonstrating high levels of student engagement and enthusiasm.
